How I Improved My Website Speed by 400% in less than 5 minutes









        You know that website speed test is also one key for engaging readers to your website.

Research shows that, if your page speed is more than 6 or 7 seconds than user goes to another site or click back from loading your site. Your website's speed should be under 2 seconds.

And it will happen through Cloudflare. Yeah! Your website speed will increase with full security from Cloudflare.

Because I just have joined CloudFlare and my website load time increased by 400%.

You are a webmaster. You know what you're up against. You get spam, hacked and broke. 

You get popular which is awesome.!

But can't handle the surge in traffic. Which is not awesome!

They also block threat and a limit abusive bots and crawlers from wasting your bandwidth and server resources.

The result: Cloudflare powered websites see a significant improvement in performance and decrease in Spam and another attack.



What happened when I moved to Cloudflare

I recommend checking your website speed now. So you can see the change after setting up CloudFlare to your website. I will get into that in a bit.

I was shocked to see that 4.60 second - "load time".

That is not awesome!

So I searched many methods to increase site speed and I get a result from Cloudflare. 

And here result after installing CloudFlare to my blog.

Now, This is awesome! Cool isn't it?

My website speed increased by 5 seconds. As you can see now my website speed is 835 Millisecond. It is less than 1 second. It's really awesome. Sometimes it goes a little bit higher. But you can see the improvement now.

Without spending  any penny and it is done in less than 5 minutes. 

Now I can show how it is done.

How to Setup CloudFlare for your website

We will see step by step setup to understand easily. 

1) Go to Cloudflare first and create a new account if you don't have one. Click on Add site. It is on the upper side of the site.


2) Add your website domain name in the text field and click on Begin Scan. It will take few seconds to scan your site.

3) After complete scanning, click on Continue. Don't touch any defaults if you are not familiar with CloudFlare.

4)After Continue you will see plans for CloudFlare. You have to choose  Free Plan. Don't worry about Pro Plan and Business Plan. It's on you to upgrade.

5)Here is the main part. Now you will see Current Nameservers and Cloudflare Nameservers.  
    
    You just have to change your Current Nameservers to Cloudflare NameServers. 

Your Current Nameservers will change from, where you bought your domain and change your Current Nameservers with Cloudflare Nameservers.

 A company like Godaddy, freenom, Hostgator, etc. You just have to go in Manage DNS and change Nameservers to Cloudflare Nameservers.

   Like I have bought my domain from Godaddy. So I can change from my Godaddy account. They have their Nameservers. They are Current Nameservers. You can see it.

   Just replace it with Cloudflare Nameservers as given you on CloudFlare website.
 See below, In my Godaddy account, my Nameservers are changed to CloudFlare Nameserver. These Nameservers are given by CloudFlare.

After adding CloudFlare Nameservers to domain company. Go to CloudFlare website and click on Continue.

It will show Status Pending after adding your site to CloudFlare. Your site will take 24 hours to join the CloudFlare community.
